The Weibo and Douyin accounts of Chinese celebrities Angelababy and Zhang Jiayi have both been banned from posting

On the evening of November 1st, the Weibo account homepages of Angelababy and Zhang Jiayi showed, “Due to violations of relevant laws and regulations, this user is currently in a state of being banned from speaking.” Previously, both parties’ Douyin (TikTok) accounts had already been banned from speaking, and Douyin’s penalty explanation for violations indicated, “This user has been banned from speaking for violating the relevant provisions of the ‘Douyin Community Self-Discipline Convention’.”
